The customer
Blackboys Service Station is a family-run business that was established over 40 years ago, and their staff have 25 years of experience handling cars and bikes.
Blackboys specialise in vehicle repairs and MOTs, using their phone systems as a way for customers to first make contact, book any services and then ongoing correspondence about the progress of their car.
The challenge
Before Zappie, Blackboys Service Station struggled with their phone lines – often missing calls due to limited service in and out. They needed a system that could handle multiple concurrent calls, allowing them to take more bookings and increase their customer service.
It was also often the case that Rupert and his team would need to visit customers who, for whatever reason, couldn’t get their vehicle to their site near Uckfield. Therefore the ability to re-route calls to staff’s mobiles whilst they were remote was a vital feature.
The solution
For Blackboys, Zappie provided a new phone system that was tailored to their business needs. The hardware adopted was the Yealink T58W phone which provides a whole host of features:
The install
Our Zappie engineer was able to make the switch over to the new system within the day, with Blackboys still receiving and making calls as normal. The installation was seamless and allowed for improved customer service, almost immediately.
For all of our installs, we aim to have our engineers sent out within 2 days of agreeing terms and having the phone system in place will be done on the same day.
The results
Now that Blackboys Service Station has their new phone system, they are able to easily take and manage bookings with more reliability than ever before. The system allows for remote staff access, meaning Rupert and his team can provide services to customers even when on-site visits are necessary.
The feedback from Blackboys Service Station has been excellent and Rupert has said that the customer service his team is now able to provide is much improved.
